I ve not used a 2 horse bench grinder but this one sure seems to be acting like a 2 hp unit. Grizzly g9717 6 bench grinder w 1 2 arbor this 1 3 hp 110v single phase industrial duty bench grinder turns at 3450 rpm and takes 6 grinding wheels from 1 2 to 3 4 wide with 1 2 bores. The overall best bench grinder that we found is this metabo 8 inch bench grinder which has a one inch arbor and a motor with an rpm of up to 3 570. I m unmounting it putting it on a shelf and buying a better quality machine.

I ve been able to push the morse tapers into the brush with a lot of force and the g0596 does not slow at all. Primarily made of cast iron which results in good durability and stability when using the tool. You will appreciate that the grinder has horsepower motor that rotates the wheel at a speed of 3600 rotations very minute. However this is a very sturdy stand and will serve you well.

Its compact size won t take up precious real estate on your workbench. And yet it still uses the 2 72 inches sand belt to give you the best performance out of the box. With the grizzly g0596 i have not doubt the drill bits will be no match for it. Powerful bench grinder compared to others designed for at home use although it has a high price point.

Very impressive for me. In terms of speed this is one of the best bench grinders.
